Mystery of the purrrr!!!

Recently, one of my friends told me that they had just read something that they figured I would be interested in hearing! I was like, WHAAAAAT??? They said that they had read that PURRRING is STILL a mystery to scientists! They can't fully figure out WHY OR HOW a cat purrs!!! I was like, REALLY??? Soooooooooo basically...

I'M A MYSTERY!!!

My Hospital Stay!!!

Sooooooooooo I went in for my surgery this past Thursday, August 25th. I had to check in at 10 am, once I signed in they told me to just wait for them to come get me in the lobby. Soooooooo would you all be surprised if I told you that WHEN they found me I was WINDOW SHOPPING in the gift shop..hee, hee!!! ;))))

Then they escorted me upstairs and more check in and they waiting, waiting, waiting, WAITING!!!
.

FINALLY they called me BACK to the pre operating place and I was SOOOOOO EXCITED about putting on that hospital gown!!! No really, I WAS, because THIS MEANT that the party was GETTING STARTED!!! Woot, woot!!!

Annnnnnnnnd once I looked at myself I realized that I really didn't look half as bad as I thought I would in the gown, I mean, I actually think I look pretty good in yellow!!!

Weeeeeeeeeeelllll there I am waiting and waiting NOW in the pre-op room, no one is coming for me, finally five til 12, 1 I pushed my lil red button, someone comes and is like, Oh honey do you need to use the restroom??? I'm like, Noooooooo, I'm just wondering when theyre going to hook up my IV and stuff cuz my surgery is scheduled to happen in five minutes!!

She's like, OH, let me check!!! LOL Then she came back and said that my surgeon had changed it til 1...for whatever reason...buuuut he soon came in, the nurse gave me my IV, I asked the nurse if there was any way they would let me take my cell phone into the operating room...she said NO! I just really thought it would be cool to try and snap some pics before I got knocked out...then I asked her IF anyone had managed to sneak their phone in yet??? She laughed and said NOT YET!

and soooooon I was being ROLLED!!! Without my cell phone I might add...LOL!!! Annnnd I really like being rolled on a bed, its really fun!!!! Then they rolled me into the operating room and I was trying to take EVERYTHING IN!!! Buuuuuuuuut the next thing I know I was being awakened in recovery by a very rude nurse!!! She was like, How are you feeling? I'm like, It hurts! She's like, WELL YEAH! You just had surgery!!! I'm just like, WHY ARE YOU ASKING ME THEN WOMAN!?!?!?!?! Buuuut I fell asleep before I could say anything! LOL THen she was asking me what I would rate my pain 0 being nothing 10 being the highest, I said 10!!! THen I was out again! It seemed like a few minutes later she was asking me again how I would rate my pain? I was like, 10!!! She's like, WELL IT CAN'T STILL BE A TEN IF I GAVE YOU PAIN MEDICINE!!! I'm thinking, then WHY'D YOU ASK ME??? IT'S MY PAIN YOUR ASKING ABOUT!!!  I mean, I'm like, OUT OF IT YOU GUYS!!! But I'm like, OKAAAAAAAAY a 9 THEN!!! LOL

Then the next nurse came and took over and she was like, SOOOOO NIIIICE!!! She was like, Oh honey your doing sooooo GOOD! And she was showing me all these deep breathing techniques that really helped me!!! Sooooo then I started TALKING!!! (OF COURSE!!!) And I was like, Ooooooh SO I MADE IT THROUGH THE SURGERY!!! She was like, you sure did honey!!! Anywayz, then I started feeling really good and was ready to get up and go for a walk...buuuuut they said I had to wait for 6 hours.

Theeeeeennnn finally it was time to be rolled in my bed to my room!!! I LOOOOVE THAT PART!!! Annnnnd i'm NOT gonna lie, EVERY TIME we rolled by a window I made sure to look at my reflection in it!!! Hee,hee...Oooops!!!

When I got to my room, my nurse and her assistant said they had never had such a bright-eyed and talkative patient just coming in from surgery...LOL THen the Abbotts and Tommy and Kelsey came in and I sat there talking to them all for probably an hour or so... then they left and I was like...

NOW CAN I GO FOR A WALK???

Annnnnnnnnnnnd sooooo my nurse walked around the section with me!!! Then after that, I was walking sooooo good in the morning! They wake you up at 6 am, you have to go for a weigh-in, I had GAINED 8 pounds since the day of surgery...LOL...buuuut that's NORMAL, some people gain MORE!!! Sooooo I wasn't trippin about it!!! THen about mid-morning I started feeling like nautious and PAIN and it was from the gas they pump into you, I had pain meds and went to sleep, but afternoon I was feeling pretty good!!! I went for another walk AND THEN, I got a shoulder massage and a facial, our surgeons PAY FOR IT...it was soooooooo NIIIIIICE!!!

Then I had visitors which was cool cuz I was feeling good NOW!!!

Annnnnnnnnd weeeeeelll then it was Saturday,

here I am all ready to GO HOME!!!

I passed out blog cards and told everyone to keep up with my weight loss on my blog and you know, they all loved me on the bariatric floor...buuuuut then again, WE WERE EXPECTING THAT!!! Hee, hee!!! ;)))

I've been home now for two days and I'm doing GREAT!!! Been walking around the block twice in the morning and twice at night!!! Its sooooo weird, I literally have NOT felt hungry since Thursday and even when I eat a sugar-free jello cup I am STUFFED!!! Buuuuut I've been getting in ALL MY WATER, about 90 oz of water the last two days, that's pretty good!!! Tomorrow I go to my Post Op class and we will all eat our FIRST MEAL TOGETHER...YAAAAYYY!!!!

Soooooooo I lost the 8 pounds I gained from surgery and am down ANOTHER WHOLE 7 POUNDS...

WOOOOHOOOOO!!!

and try to get back to regular blog posting ASAP!!!

Another reason I got ANDROID...

Soooooooo I can do that cool lil finger pattern thingy to get in my phone, you know, where your password is to CONNECT THE DOTS...I've ALWAYS wanted to be able to do that on my phone!!! They guy at Verizon was like, OR you could just do your fingerprint...I was like, NOOOOO I want that pattern thingy!!! He was like, Okaaaaaaaaaaaay!!! LOL

Guess WHO got a NEW PHONE????

YES, that's RIGHT, MARY DID!!!

Annnnnnnnnnnnd I decided to break away from the APPLE and I'm NOW an ANDROID GIRL!!! Weeeeeeeeeeeeellllll, at least for the next two years, we'll see after that IF I agree that Android is better than Apple...Sooooooo far I LOOOOOVE my new phone!!!! buuuuuuuuuut that's NOT really to hard to do considering the fact that I had to keep my phone on speaker at all times, I could no longer do screen shots, I could never turn my phone off-it had to DIE to restart, my voicemail didn't work,  annnnnnnnnnnd I couldn't do voice recordings...LOL!!!

Soooooooooo I got the Android Galaxy 7, I was going to get the edge or the notebook, buuuuuuut the sales rep said IF I'm a DROPPER, I should really reconsider that since the screens on those ones are A LOT harder to protect...I thought that was nice of him to be honest with me considering that those ones were MORE expensive!!!

.

So far I love it!!! When you take a selfie all you have to do is say, "Capture" and it takes the picture!!! ANNNNNND the camera is soooooooooo much better!!! The photo space is sooooo much wider too and that combined with saying, "Capture" makes taking GROUPIES waaaaaaaaaaaay better and easier!!! Annnnnnnnnnd  you can WRITE on your pictures which is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay COOL!!! Oh annnnnnnd I LOOOOOOVe the fact there is the little microphone thingy so I can just automatically sent a voicmessage through text...YUP, its AWESOME!!!

THE ONLY thing that the Android doesn't have that the iPhone DOES have IS the fingers, Apple has the multi-cultural skin toned fingers and Android doesn't, I will admit to being saddened about that...I ALMOST asked the guy about that before I bought the phone, but then I was like, OH I'm SURE ANDROID has that too...Alas, I was WRONG....Buuuuuuuut I'm sure they'll catch up SOON!!!

Other than that, I LOOOOOVE my NEW PHONE!!!

Sooooooooo I've been babysitting occasionally for my personal trainer's son and she was telling me the first day I watched him that her husband was so glad that I was taking care of him!!! I was like, AWWWW, that's NICE!!! She was like, NO REALLY, my husband was like, IF MARY WATCHES HIM,

Sooooooo as you all know, if you've been a FAITHFUL reader of my blog, that I have ALWAYS dreamed of being a REDHEAD!!! Why??? Because its so bright and so UNCOMMON...bright and rare, what I LIKE!!! The End of Heritage 2016!!! (Part 3)

BACK TO HERITAGE!!!

Thursday for Lunch we went to this place called Mint Thai, it was sooooooooooo GOOOOOOOD!!! This is another pick by Hanna and I must say, she is VERY good with finding stuff on YELP!!! And plus we all had so much fun together!!! Daisy and I had several laughing fits about who knows WHAT!!! So then Stultz is like REALLY GOOD at taking large group pictures, so we were saying that he's like the King of GROUPIES!!! And I'm the Queen of selfies and how the next time Stultz preaches its going to be about how its NOT all about your SELFIE, you NEED to include the whole GROUPIE...annnnnnnnnnd then I come running to the alter laying down my cell phone...LOL...Well you had to be there!!! Plus we had a REALLY funny waitress that was just adding to the craziness with her own funny comments!!!

OH annnnnnd the ICED THAI TEA WAS AMAZING!!!

Friday night we all had a BLAST at Perkins, buuuuuuuuuuuuut no pics!!!! I told a few life stories and we got to meet, THE PENTECOSTAL SANTA CLAUSE!!! LOL (Inside Joke!) Oh ANNNNND THEN when I was talking one time, unbeknownst to ME, the guys decided to COUNT how many times I said, "LIKE" they said 14 times in like 20 seconds...WHATEVERRRR!!!

Then after that we went back to our hotel, we got there at like 2 AM and Jonathon and Aaron were like, should we go check out the ballroom to see if anyone is still up there??? I was like, I think they said that it closed at 2 am, buuuuut we went up there anyhow and let me tell you something, THE PARTY, was STILL ROLLING in FULL SWING!!!

We listened to audio story dramas all the way home!!! I was surprised that Stultz's favorite story was "Jessica's First Prayer" anyway, As we drove Jonathon said that we couldn't listened to "The Haunted Room" till it got dark!!!LOL And it was super cool cuz it was storming in the story while they were driving, THEN it started storming as WE were driving...Buuuuuuuuuuut then my sis and MJ got freaked out when we got the part where the house servant is talking about the "ghosts" LOL

Soooooooooo we listened instead to "The Hiding Place" Which is an ABSOLUTE amazing story!!! I now want to go one day to Holland and visit The Ten Boom's home where they built their secret room...that would be AWESOME!!! Anywayz, we listened to that story til we literally GOT HOME!!! ALL In all it was an AWESOME TRIP!!!

Can't wait for Heritage 2017!!!

WHY THE NAME???

I was listening to a story one day on the radio and the man was telling a story about a little boy that was lost in the grocery store. So this little boy started calling out his mommy's name! He said, "Heather! Heather! HEATHER!!!" Finally his mommy heard him and came and rescued him from being lost. But after she hugged him and calmed him down she asked him WHY he called her Heather and not just MOMMY??? And the little boy said, because Mommy, there are A LOT of mommies in this store...BUUUUUUUUUUUT I WANTED...

MY MOMMY!!!

Now, this had absolutely NOTHING to do with the point of the story that the radio was saying, buuuuuuuuuut this got me to thinking, when I was in college, writing for the college paper, I was writing an inspiring story and I was quoting the girl that the story was written about and I wrote, that she said she found love in the arms of Jesus. My teacher, who was a "Christian" said, how about, INSTEAD of saying in the arms of JESUS, how about we paraphrase her to say she found love in the arms of GOD! I was just kinda like, okaaaaaay buuuuut I don't see WHAT the difference is, because JESUS IS GOD!!!

 She said, well because when you say God, people are MORE ACCEPTING of that, because almost everyone believes in God in some sort of way or the other. Muslims, Jews, Hindu, Budhists, Bahai, ...they all believe in God, so they won't mind reading God, buuuuut WHEN YOU SAY, Jesus, now your being exclusive, because most people believe in God, buuuuut they don't believe that JESUS IS GOD!!! Weeeeeeeeellll...this DID NOT SET WELL WITH ME AT ALL!!! I mean, I HAD NO problem with simply saying God, UNTIL she explained to me WHY! That's what I call watering down and diluting the message, compromising...annnnd YES...also the reason WHY I didn't make it in a career of Journalism!!! LOL

Because, this world is filled with gods, buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut...when I have a problem, when I have a need, when I am afraid, when I need a shelter, when I need a friend, when I need a comforter, a way maker, a miracle maker, when I'm scared and alone, I DON't just want just any ol "god", I SAY JESUS!!!

BECAUSE...

A Friend!!! (Repost from 2010)

Note from Classic Mary Moments: Okaaaaaaaayyyy so I could probably just say NOTE from MARY, buuuuut it sounds more EFFECIENT the other way!!! Please bear with me for this week and enjoy some reposts!!! I have been soooooo BUSY and your sooooo NOT even going to believe with WHAT!!! Cleaning my friends, CLEANING!!! The older I get the more I am into cleaning and organizing my stuff...so mature right??? Organizing Hello kitty and all things glittery, pink and FLUFFY, sooooo ADULTISH...hee, hee!!! Anywayz, like I said, the older I get the more I am into keep things in order, I know, WEIRD, anywayz, I am cleaning and purging, reorganizing and going through like LITERALLY EVERYTHING in my room!!! That's ALL I have been doing this week, the only day I took a break was Wednesday, to prepare a lesson for Wednesday School and picking up the kiddos...buuuuut yeah, if anyone's interested you may actually find some interesting stuff in our dumpster, highschool year books and old love letters..bahahaha!!!! Sooooooo yeah, enjoy the reposts this week and you'll get some NEW stuff NEXT WEEK...Don't kill my cleaning endeavor!!!

A friend!!!

My mom testified at church a couple of weeks ago, and she shared something that I had NEVER heard before!!! It was soooo neat I just have to share it with you all!!!

She said that when we lived in New York, before we got in church, one of the things that prompted her to EVEN go to church at all, was that she was looking for a friend. She said that although there were people our family associated with, she didn't feel like she really had her own friend. She was hoping for someone that she could do stuff with her or just talk with on the phone! So when the Sis. Kathy, the lady across the street from us invited my mom to church, one of the things that prompted her to go was she thought..."Maybe if I go, I'll find a FRIEND!!!" She said that there were a lot of people that she met at that church that she enjoyed fellowship with, BUT she says that when she got the Holy Ghost, she got a friend that has NEVER left her side. We were only at that church for nine months before we moved to AZ, she left behind her aquantances at that church, BUT Jesus, came right along with her!!! Its been 25 years, and she says that Jesus is STILL the best friend she has ever had!!!

Funeral thoughts!!! (Repost!)

I'm sitting there this morning JUST THINKIN about DEATH annnnd I just busted up laughing!!!  Yes really, I started laughing soooooo hard!!! I was jus thinkin about if I died, right NOW, as a SINGLE-29-year-old Apostolic young lady... 
I WONDER...

Which SINGLE Apostolic guys would come to my funeral??? AHAHAHA!!! TOTAL MARY THOUGHT!!!  I texted my sister that at work this morning and she was like, "YOU ARE soooo CREEPY!!!" LOL!!!

 Seriousley tho, I was just sitting there thinkin, LIKE OMW! i wonder if Ching-Chong-Chow would come to my funeral??? Annnnnd THEN a huge conflicting thought comes into my mind!!! The fact that IF he did come...I would have no way of ever knowing or finding out!!!! *Sigh Oh the problems that come when your cRaZy!!! Hmmmm....maybe, just MAYBE God would let me peek my eyes open to see when Ching looked into the casket!!!

People are just looking in the casket at this sleepin beauty that has passed on to glory land...

ANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNND THEN HE walks by annnnnnd allll of the sudden, God just allows my eyes to slit open slightly, as I peek out and see him gazing at me...

My thoughts would be YES!!! He may NOT have wanted to MARRY ME...buuuuut...at least he came to my funeral!!! Don't be JEALOUS LADIES!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Annnnnd then could you imagine HIS thoughts!!! He would be like, Did her eyes just flutter open?! I coulda sworn she just peeked at me!!! She DID!!!! SHE LOOKED AT ME!!!! Duuuuuuuuuuuude, EVEN in her death she STILL STALKS ME!!! BAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

OMW!!! Just the thought cracks me up!!! After I took the above pic with my eyes slitted open this morning I just could NOT stop laughing EVERY TIME I LOOKED at it!!! Then I had made some soup for my sis, I  invited one person over for lunch and then the next thing I knew I was feeding like five people from church lunch...sooooo I showed them my pic and told them about slitting my eyes open at my funeral and I was like laughing soooooo hard!!! My sister was like, Okaaaaay LOOK AT HER... she is making herself laugh the hardest of all!!! AHAHAHAHA!!!! I sooooooo LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE BEING ME!!!

The older I get the more I am into cleaning and organizing my stuff...so mature right??? Organizing Hello kitty and all things glittery, pink and FLUFFY, sooooo ADULTISH...hee, hee!!! Anywayz, like I said, the older I get the more I am into keep things in order, I know, WEIRD, anywayz, I am cleaning and purging, reorganizing and going through like LITERALLY EVERYTHING in my room!!! That's ALL I have been doing this week, the only day I took a break was Wednesday, to prepare a lesson for Wednesday School and picking up the kiddos...buuuuut yeah, if anyone's interested you may actually find some interesting stuff in our dumpster, highschool year books and old love letters..bahahaha!!!! Sooooooo yeah, enjoy the reposts this week and you'll get some NEW stuff NEXT WEEK...Don't kill my cleaning endeavor!!!

Soooo my niece MJ wrote me the cutest lil poem! It goes like this: Mary IS MARY! Mary is Merry! Buuuut Mary is NOT Married because Mary still needs to find someone to MARRY!!!

Tonight, I Mary Frances Ginty, went to a store and I was in such AWWWW of this UNFAMILIAR STORE to me, it felt like I was in another land...a foreign country, across the ocean, in another continent... It was almost as if the clouds opened up and a bright light shined down from heaven...announcing my arrival!!!! 

I was like OMW, is this IT???

Am I FINALLY IN AFRICA???

Then I heard a deep voice say, welcome to Autozone, Can we help you???

Apparently, the Autozone employees could tell I live in a GIRL'S WORLD and that it was ALL FORIEGN TO ME!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
